The criteria we use

Every operator we cover is reviewed against the same set of practical areas. We focus on things you can actually feel when using a site rather than marketing claims:

• Market coverage — the range of sports and competitions, and how well everyday markets are served.
• Odds presentation — how clearly prices are displayed and how easy a market is to read.
• App and mobile usability — speed, layout and stability on a phone.
• Bet builder and accumulators — whether combining selections is straightforward, where relevant.
• Payment options — the choice of deposit and withdrawal methods on offer.
• Terms transparency — how plainly the operator explains its rules and conditions.
• Responsible gambling visibility — how easy it is to find limits, time-outs and self-exclusion tools.

How scores are formed

We weigh up the areas above and set an editorial score out of five. The score is a comparison indicator, a shorthand for how an operator performed against our criteria at the time of review. We do not give every product the same score, and a higher score reflects a stronger showing across the checklist, not a recommendation tailored to your situation.

What our scores are not

Our scores are editorial only. They are not official ratings, they do not represent approval by any regulator, and they say nothing about your chances of winning. We never describe an operator as “officially the best”, and we do not guarantee winnings, payouts, odds value or outcomes of any kind.

Keeping it current
